I visited Per Se on my own during a trip to New York City in March 2018. I didn't make reservation ahead of time so I had to go during the lunch time when there were a lot more available tables. I chose to have a 5-course lunch instead of doing the full tasting menu. Can't recall the exact price but it was not too bad.

The restaurants dimmed lighting provides a calming sense throughout the whole restaurant as if trying to mask the chaos that is going on in the kitchen and in the minds of the wait staff.
